We are recruiting for an experienced Major Orthopeadic Scrub Nurse specializing in major knee and hip to join our high-performing Theatre Team.

Our client operates a network of 38 private hospitals and ten clinics across the UK. You will be working for the second largest provider of private healthcare in the United Kingdom.

Duties and responsibilities:

The successful Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner will prepare the operating theatre room for surgery in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific operative procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum. You will run a theatre list without supervision and supervise / mentor junior staff (subject to experience).

• Assessing patients health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
• You will be responsible for patient care, setting up for cases and assisting in the day to day running of theatres
• Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Scrub Nurse (RGN) Band 5/6 who is NMC or HCPC registered. You will be proactive and enthusiastic with excellent communication and organisation skills are key to continuing our high standards of patient care, Orthopaedic Scrub experience in major orthopaedic cases is essential.

As a scrub nurse, there are plentiful shifts to suit your needs. Monday to Sunday, 7 days a week, including day shifts (08.30-20.00) and night shifts (20.00-08.30) With a high volume of shifts available, we are able to match as per your desired rota.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract, Zero hours contract

Salary: £40.00-£44.00 per hour
