Job Description & Requirements

Grow a Better Tomorrow with Nufarm.

We know that growing is about more than just crops and cultivation. It’s about sunshine and rain, early mornings and hard work. It can be frustratingly unpredictable but also wonderfully uplifting. More than anything, it’s about people. Nufarm is the dependable partner behind thousands of agricultural success stories. Every day, growers around the world turn to our products and our people to help with the challenges of fighting disease, weeds and pests, and to increase crop yields.

How can you grow with Nufarm?

As a Specialist Operator, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment in support of our manufacturing plan.

What will you be doing?

Based at our site in Wyke, West Yorkshire. You will operate plant and equipment and observe and monitor chemical processes as detailed in written standard operating instructions. We are a top tier COMAH site, and you will therefore be required to work to the highest Safety, Environmental and Quality standards. We operate within a continuous improvement environment and therefore your input into these processes is essential to maintain and improve standards.

You will work a 12.33 hours continuous shift pattern. Working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off . This pattern repeats seven times, after which there is a further 14-day extended rostered break . All holidays are rostered into the shift pattern.

What do you bring?

You will ideally have Maths and English qualifications. You will be a good written and verbal communicator; be collaborative; self motivated; safety focussed; and have a pro-active attitude towards continuous improvement. Experience of working within processing industries; a chemical environment; and shift working would be advantageous.

Salary and benefits

In return we offer the successful candidate an annual salary of circa £34k including allowances, a defined contribution pension scheme and a site bonus scheme.

If you want to be a part of a thriving, supportive environment and are inspired by the prospect of being a part of something bigger, we’d love to hear from you.

We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity. All employment decisions are decided based on qualifications, merit and business needs. We are committed to building an inclusive environment for all Nufarm employees.
