My client, a leading London media company is looking for a Management Accountant to act as no.2 to the Finance Director. A new role due to company growth, this position offers career development within a fantastic working environment.

Day to day duties:

• Preparing monthly management accounts and information packs
• Analysing budgets versus actuals detailing variances for stakeholders
• Liaising with stakeholders to provide strategic advice
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Weekly bank reconciliations and reconciling intercompany accounts
• Posting accruals and prepayments for all companies
• Cost analysis of service charge expenditure and monthly analysis of profit & loss codes
• Assisting Finance Director with various duties as required
• Overseeing all accounts payable and receivable functions
• Update monthly cash flow forecast with actuals reconciling to net cash movement
• Preparing group VAT returns to HMRC and dealing with all HMRC correspondence
• Assisting with completion of annual external audit, internal audit and tax credit audits

Required skills:

• Newly or part qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA preferable)
• Must have a meticulous attention to detail in a busy, can-do environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Sage
